Couple of pictures of our son and grandsons visiting

We have been working on our garden.  Here are a couple of pictures of
what we've done so far.  The circle behind Mary may be painted later.  Not sure.

House being torn down in April
Above is (or was) a house a few blocks SE of us.  I wish I'd gotten a close-up of
that inside doorway.  Above the door is a horseshoe.  The first picture grabbed my heart,
because someone many years ago put that wallpaper up and loved this house.
Update, June 28, 2008
This house is completely gone now.  It has some black stuff, maybe rock
poured down and they house just to the North of this lot is using it to
park their cars.

Above is an old church  around the corner and down the street from us.
  This much obvious
deterioration just happened in the past few months I think.  5 years ago I used to wish
I could buy this place and fix it.  Today, no way.
Picture of remains of the old church below, June 28, 2008
That house behind was very close to the church.  The people who owned
the old church live in that house.  They were told by the City Council that
they had to tear it down.  They couldn't, so got an extension of 60 days.
Then the Methodist Church in town (an absolutely lovely congregation of
people) decided to help and they are tearing it down as I type.
We zipped over there a few minutes ago to snap this picture.
As I sit here, I can hear the big machinery ripping it apart.
Kinda sad, but life must move on, and that building was getting dangerous.
However, look at the front yard the owners will have!  They'll have
sun in the front windows in the morning now.  I imagine this is a loss to
them, it would be to me.

April scene:
Above, look carefully as I speak, okay?  I'll speak left to right mostly.
Green paddles are on a new windmill my husband just built.
Green martini glasses (plastic) and fabric are on a failed windmill.
Black windmill with green martini glasses at right of the picture are on my
favorite windmill he has built.  The silver spheres are painted bowling balls.
The black metal is made up of three table stands, one coffee table stand, two
end table stands.  At one time I suppose they had glass tops.
Right in the center of the picture is a cherry tree.  Will bloom eventually.  But
I hear that on the East Coast the cherry trees are in full glorious bloom as we speak
(early April.)  Left tree is a Tulip tree.  Barely showing that it might spring to life again.

House in the background isn't ours.  They've roofed and painted the pink shutters black.  You can
kind of see that through the trees below:
