Experimenting in Hyperbolic Crochet

As I experiment with this truly simple technique, I'm using different yarns and threads
and hooks.  Below, so far, is strictly hyperbolic construction, as I understand it.
In my next piece that isn't yet finished, I'm changing the stitch count as I go along,
just to see the effect.

I love the organic look of hyperbolic crochet.  There is a lot more to be done
with it.  I just have to get there.  And if I don't get tired of crocheting, maybe I
will get there!

Third practice piece.
This rose colored one was done in some nice, 100% wool yarn.  It was crocheted
pretty tight.  The box some are displayed on is an antique button box that
belonged to my step-father's grandmother.

This is my second attempt at hyperbolic crochet.  This yellow piece is made with acrylic yarn.

Above are two images of my first practice piece of hyperbolic crochet.
It was crochetted of 100% cotton yarn.
